About

I have lived, worked and taught in Yorkshire for many years. I studied painting and printmaking at Chelsea school of art. I studied printmaking for my M.A at Wimbledon school of art.  I trained to be a teacher at Leeds university, where I taught in Leeds at Pudsey Grangefield School.

My work is mainly based on seascapes and the Yorkshire landscape. More recently I have been working with mixed media, including fabrics, watercolour/dyes, and embroidery, as well as more traditional drawing and painting techniques.

Much of my work is based on the seascapes of the north coast of Scotland, such as the beaches of Strathy and the Kyle of Tongue, as well as the Yorkshire coastline, including Danes Dyke near Bridlington.  I have also produced work from the Ilkley landscape based on the cow and calf rocks.

You can see some of my work on sale at the Weaverbird Gallery in Ilkley. My work is also currently on display at the Clarke Foley Centre, in Ilkley.
